Between 250,000 and 5000 years ago, humans were born and died being exposed to the same technology and modus operandi. Today, we can't predict what tech will look like in a few years. And the pace is accelerating exponentially. Soon, our brains may not be able to process what's happening around us. Or maybe, similarly to how there is a limit to the speed of sound, the speed of light, or the size of an atom, there is an absolute limit to how intelligent something or someone can be. Or, as is the case with pi, where you only need a small number of its decimals to perform even the most sophisticated calculations that require it, or with horsepower in autos, there is a point after which having more of it doesn't matter much. I hope that we are close to finding either the limits of absolute intelligence or how useful it can be.
