My current predictions about the future of jobs:

i. Within 2 to 5 years, AI will be capable of doing 90%+ of the jobs that people do behind computer screens.

ii. However, adoption will lag. It will take 5 to 20 years for AI to replace most of the humans in those jobs.

iii. Unlike the industrial revolution, the AI revolution will happen faster, and there won't be many new desk jobs created for people.

Within 5 to 20 years:

iv. Most job openings will be for physical jobs, as it will take longer than that for robotics to have a meaningful impact on jobs.

v. Most attractive jobs will tend to be human-touch jobs (from entertainment, to hospitality, to sales).

vi. There will be some high-end tech jobs (developing AI and hardware), but it will be a small portion of the market of what it is today, and they will be taken by the smartest people (p98+).

vii. Remote jobs will significantly decrease, as most of those jobs will be replaced by AI.

viii. Job hunting and entrepreneurship will significantly increase, as there won't be as many jobs for as many people.
